Everything a teleprompter should be
Most teleprompters are just a window full of text. Lenslines lives right under your webcam, keeps pace with your voice and disappears for everyone else.
The script sits in a black notch at the top of the screen your webcam is on, so your eyes stay on the lens. Drag it anywhere along the top, or onto another monitor.
Hidden from Zoom, Teams, Meet, OBS, recordings and screenshots. You see it. They don't.
Text moves while you speak and waits when you pause. Audio never leaves your PC.
Point at the prompter and it stops. Scroll to rewind. Move away and it carries on.
Start a line with # to make a cue. Jump between sections with a shortcut or the cue list.
Pull the notch down to float it anywhere, at any size. Mirror the text for teleprompter glass and beam-splitter rigs.
Ctrl+Alt+P to show it, Ctrl+Alt+Space to play. Fully customizable, and Stream Deck friendly from the command line.
About a 2 MB download. Sits in the tray using a few megabytes and no CPU until you need it.
No account, no cloud, no tracking. Your scripts are files on your PC and the app works offline.

FAQ
Lenslines is a teleprompter app for Windows. It shows your script in a black notch at the top of your screen, right under your webcam, so you can read while keeping eye contact on video calls and recordings.
No. Lenslines uses Windows' built-in screen-capture exclusion, so it doesn't show up in screen shares, recordings or screenshots in apps that use Windows' standard capture, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, OBS and Snipping Tool. You can turn this off in Settings if you want it in a recording. Learn more.
Yes. Lenslines is a separate Windows app, so it works next to any video or recording app, and it never takes focus away from your call window. See the guides for Zoom, Teams and Google Meet.
When voice scrolling is on, the text moves while you speak and pauses when you pause. It listens for your voice level, not your words. Audio is analyzed in memory on your PC and is never recorded, saved or uploaded, and the microphone is only used while voice scrolling is on.
Lenslines places the notch at the top center of the screen your webcam is on: the laptop screen for a built-in camera, or your main display for an external webcam. You can drag it anywhere along the top or onto another monitor, and it remembers where you leave it.
Yes. Pull the notch down to turn it into a floating window of any size, set the background opacity, and mirror the text horizontally or vertically for beam-splitter glass rigs.
No. Lenslines is a one-time purchase of $9.99 on the Microsoft Store, shown in your local currency. You keep it forever and updates are free.
